Nîmes Pégoulade
CPPP was asked to produce the opening parade of the Feria by the city of Nîmes. The famous PEGOULADE is a street parade, involving the habitants of the Roman city to tell its own story ... while they build it. This parade is the place of all intermingling, where Provencal musicians meet the social centers, the Sevillanas dancers converse with African cultural associations, dance schools dance on the rhythms of the local Peña.
The crocodile
Emblem of the city and its Gallo-Roman past, the city's coat of arms represents a crocodile chained to a palm tree, symbol of the submission of Egypt by Rome.
Our 21 meters long creation, handled by 6 people, welcomed during the parade the orchestra "El Calife", oriental electro music, to underline that its origin is on the other side of the Mediterranean.
